Adaptive Ethernet Fiber Converter Supports Two Transmission Modes
Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm(www.GAOComm.com) recommends its adaptive Ethernet fiber converter which is designed for long-distance transmission networks of 10/100Mbps fast Ethernet. Using switching technology and storing and forwarding technology, the converter carries out mutual conversion between 10Base-T/100Base-TX pair electrical signals and 100Base-FX optical signals. This converter supports full-duplex and half-duplex transmission modes as well as multiple types of fiber ports such as dual-fiber multi-mode, dual-fiber single-mode and single-fiber single-mode. That offer great flexibility to its users.
The fast Ethernet fiber converter, model MB610A, can extend the transmission distance of a network from 100m to 120km over copper wire. It allows the transmission of extra-long packets with a maximum length of 1552 bytes. This energy-saving converter supports Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to form a redundant network and enables automatic crossing of twisted pair ports for the convenience of system debugging and installation. The Ethernet media converter has a built-in switching core to perform flow control and reduce broadcast packets.
