Do I have the mounting bracket to install the LAN cable?
I try to install cable CAT6 cable from my room in the basement eating. (I do not Dining wonder why …) I have already captured by cable to a room. The next step is to Login / son of Jack CAT6 cable and mount the wall plate. My question is: Because I have panel Tor installed my wood dining room, you can mount the wall plate to the wood panel without mounting bracket on the inside wall. Do I have the assembly / electrical box, Carlon similar product for any other reason? "I can mount the wall plate to the wood panel now?
You do not need a box. The boxes are for applications on AC power (switches, sockets) are connections – with the aim of containing and isolating an electrical arc or overheating connections entering contact with combustible material inside the wall, such as wood, paper, etc. Since DSL connections are low voltage / low power, there is virtually no risk of overheating. The only risk, and it is very unlikely, it is in some way, if the wired LAN cable or improperly seized power line shorted to AC.
